It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

Ever since Paige and I got married, we've had a tradition of getting our Christmas tree the Friday after Thanksgiving.  We decided to go ahead and get one this year even though we are leaving really soon for Atlanta.  I'm glad we did because Beau has loved having the tree and it really makes it feel like Christmas now...even if we'll only enjoy it here for about a week!  It's so pretty, and we had fun decorating it with all our ornaments that mean so much to me.

Here's a little more of the decorations!

Our manger scene from when I was little!
We did that hand print tree with Beau last year.  Those houses go to the It's a Wonderful Life village.  Dad started collecting those for Sarah and me a few years back.  The other day, I found the people on top of one of the houses and the lamp post laid out on the other! After I told Beau those aren't toys, now he points to it and says, "That's decorations!"

I love all my Spode and am still so glad that instead of registering for fine china when we got married, I got this instead!

All of our Christmas cards from friends from previous years

A little outdoor decor!
I love these snowflake lights from Pamie! They are so bright!
My chalkboards!

and a little painting I did and copied from one I saw on Pinterest.

My dream-Christmas house!! Just had to add that!

A few weeks back, the college had a little Christmas festival. The kids got to see Santa, ride the Polar Express and watch the movie on the train, see a live nativity and real reindeer, decorate Christmas cookies, drink hot chocolate, and sing and dance around to Christmas music!
Telling Santa he wants Batman stuff and a castle.

Thanksgiving 2012

This Thanksgiving we stayed here in Kansas and spent the day at our friend's, the Mattox's, house.  They were so nice to invite us!  We had a great time, and Beau LOVED playing in the leaves in their backyard.  Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving and the day before Thanksgiving when Paige was off of work. We have certainly been making up for lost time that we didn't get to spend with him while it was football season! Beau's been loving it!

Watching The Polar Express for the first time!  He loves it now!
