We interrupt this marriage to bring you football season!

Well, football season is back in full swing! It's been fun taking Beau to his daddy's games and I know Paige loves that he has a son he can share his passion with! We have had 4 games and are 3 and 1. This past weekend, Annie and Paul came in from Lawrence to go to the game with us. We won and had a great time.

On another note, I LOVE being on maternity leave! I LOVE being home with Beau to witness how he's changing and all the new things he's doing each day. I'm going to need some therapy when I have to go back to work. :( At least I still have til November 2nd.

This past Wednesday my school had a shower for Beau! It was SO nice and he got some really awesome things! His new favorite toy is his floor gym. Thanks to my friends at work! He has been batting at the rattles that hang down and loves looking at himself in the mirror. He has even started smiling and giggling A LOT! I love this little kid! Here's some pictures from these past few weeks.

The First Weeks

This was a wonderful and crazy month! We had Beau, landed ourselves back in the hospital because he lost too much weight, Paige's mom came to stay with us for a few weeks, my sister came, and at the end of the month, my parents came. Also, Paige had his first game in Texas and they lost. It was a big month for us. When we brought Beau home for good things were kind of crazy! I could not have done it without the help of Sarah and Paige's mom. Sarah came out here right away and had our house baby proofed in no time! She set up the changing table, bought our cradle and set it up, cleaned and got us all the things we would need seeing as we had NOTHING ready because we thought I had 6 more weeks! Paige had started camp so he was MIA and I had a C-section and was still in some pain, not supposed to do the stairs a lot, and I couldn't drive. Paige's mom did SO much! For the whole first 2 weeks we were home we had to take Beau to get his weight checked every day. Finally, when he was 3 weeks old, he made it back to his birth weight. On another note, at the end of August my parents came to visit! I was so happy to finally see them and they finally got to meet Beau. When they were here, we took Beau to get some newborn pictures taken. They turned out really cute. The rest of the time we just hung out at the house. Mom was Beau's personal baby holder and my dad was my personal handyman! Next time we move, they are coming ASAP. They got us all organized and I was really sad to see them go.

Beau Bradford Anders~6lbs 5oz~8/1/09

Well, I'm finally going to attempt to have a blog so family and friends can keep up with what's going on with our sweet, little Beau!  So here goes nothing..

We are enjoying every second of our little guy!  He finally got back to his birth weight on Friday after our minor setback.  He's looking great and has had many "firsts" this week~ first walk, first trip to the grocery store, first trip to Wal-Mart, and Daddy's first football scrimmage!  He's smiling A LOT, and eating and spitting up a lot too!  Oh, and he's even sleeping great on most nights!  We just love our sweet baby and are so thankful that everything is turning out great.  My parents are even on their way to visit!!!!  That's going to be the best day ever!
